What Does It Mean To Be Leaping Bunny Certified?

Here at Concrete Minerals we take pride in the fact that we are Leaping Bunny Certified, but we realize that not everyone has heard of Leaping Bunny or understands what it means to be certified! Here are a few facts about what being Leaping Bunny Certified means, and why we are proud to be so!


What Is The Leaping Bunny Standard?


From the Leaping Bunny website: "The Leaping Bunny Standard is... a voluntary pledge... to clear animal testing from all stages of product development. A company's ingredient suppliers and/or manufacturers must make the same pledge. The result is a product guaranteed to be 100 percent free of new animal testing."



How Do You Become Leaping Bunny Certified?


Becoming certified is a several part process, that not only includes the company filling out an application, but also collecting signed declarations from all of the company's manufacturers and/or suppliers. It also includes putting a supplier monitoring system in place, and a detailed inspection of products. The whole company is certified, which means each product needs to meet the criteria to become Leaping Bunny Certified. The company must also re-certify each year.
